From the broken, red water pistol that I found in Castle Park on carnival day, to the sheet of newspaper blowing in my garden that had a picture of a baby, which I folded carefully and placed in a jar like a ‘Pickled Punk’. From the ghastly green witch’s wig discarded in a bucket of water a few days after Halloween to the numerous lost hair bands picked up in local car parks - each has now a preciousness and a presence they had not previously had.

Above show the collections at the end of each month - Below show how I curated them into groups: sometimes by colour, or size or even the jars they were in.
Caravan of Curiosities
Following the success of the first showing we were invited to show it in other venues, quite often empty shops in town centres. It was a huge job to install it all in such diverse places. Eventually we bought an old caravan, removed everything inside and lined it out, turning it into a white box gallery - the 'Caravan of Curiosity'. Even then we could not leave the exhibits on the shelves whilst towing, everything had to be stored in boxes and set up again
A street artist friend painted the outside of the Caravan of Curiosity' - I gave him carte blanch to do what he wanted, the only thing I asked was for it to be curious. He came up with this, inspired by the 'Dazzle camouflage' that was used extensively in WW1 and WW2.
