Slow Stitch Card Kits

Slow stitch’ is a slow and gentle way of stitching, with no particular goal in mind other than to enjoy the process. Psychologists say that stitching by hand helps to create a self induced state of focus, also known as mindfulness.

With this in mind I have created some ‘Slow Stitch Card Kits’ – everything you need is provided for you to make four cards (or wall hangings if you mount them in a frame – or a textile book…).

'Boro'd Denim' slow stitch card kit

This kit is inspired by the Japanese method of ‘Boro’, which is a form of visible mending.
You will receive a selection of suitable fabrics such as: denim, calico and ticking, plus threads.
You will also receive four cards and envelopes to mount your creations on,
and a booklet of suggestions on how to create your own versions.

'Vintage Flowers' slow stitch card kit

This kit is inspired by a beautiful vintage curtain I inherited from a friend.
You will receive a selection of vintage flowers to cut out and use, plus background fabrics and threads.

You will also receive four cards and envelopes to mount your creations on,
and a booklet of suggestions on how to create your own versions.

The fabrics I use are either rescued or vintage, and sometimes they are antique. This insures we help the earth by reducing our carbon foot print and landfill - it also gives our creations a sense of history and purpose.

I am working on creating more Slow Stitch Card Kits all the time - so please keep this page bookmarked so you can come back again later.

All Slow Stitch Card Kits are just £25 for a set of four

If you would like to order a Slow Stitched Card Kit please let me know here.
    Thank you, Paula MacGregor
